Reflections

This has been an enlightening learning experience on how to apply measurement assessments to help accurately help teachers and students in the learning process. If we apply the best strategies and tools to use to meet the standards with a good roadmap we can get to the goal we choose.

Not only should a student-centered environment encourage assessments, but an effective assessment should include focusing into the “productive emotional dynamics of winning” (Stiggins, 2007, para. 5).

By creating a partnership between the teacher and student, the assessment process can produce a positive outcome by helping students “accumulate evidence of their learning in growth portfolios” (Stiggins, 2007, para. 7), for example which is a way that students can measure if they have met the written goals they started with.

It is the ongoing partnership between teachers and students, teachers and teachers, learners and learners that always an interplay or a story where the outcome can be negative or positive for the learner.
