Digital Citizenship consists of nine specific elements which are:
- Access – the available of non availability of the ability of people to use digital media.
- Commerce- the act of being mindful of legalities of purchasing/selling through data usage
- Communication – the appropriate communication skills and being respectful in online digital back and forth written wording
- Literacy- this entails the rapid technological changes and new resources that are required both in teaching and learning from data
- Proper Online Conduct – this is the ‘treating of others as you would like to be treated’ Ribble, M. (2017) theme and protocol necessary to proceed properly in communication with others
- Digital Law- this entails such digital protections such as the stealing of work, property, etc. Ribble, M (2017)
- Digital Health and Wellness – this is the physical, emotional effects of using data in a way for best delivery for health and wellness for people
- Digital Rights and Responsibilities – the acts of free speech and communication that do not interfere with others rights is paramount
- Digital Security- continuous monitoring and protecting identity and information is for everyone’s benefit due to predators
