We have been learning about digitally mediated teaching and learning throughout the EDU520 Units. From digital literacy to Zwillings (2015) positive online presence and Heick (2013) principals of digital literacy including comprehension, interdependence, social factors, and curation we are introduced to the wider world of communication systems and methods.
Through a highly developed PLE we can further the process of learning by using that platform to extend the learning environment far beyond the traditional medium to a broader audience.
Blogging is one way to use the PLE to access information and to disseminate information out to the audience or world or controlled environment especially the learning environment.
Through a collaborative environment such as a controlled wiki site classes in instruction can compare data and work on a collective project to better understand data that is gathered through studies or research to prove theories of learning true of false or further study needed.
Public information, private information and copyright practices can also be important in this role as well and need to be carefully monitored.
